We have before noted that there is consciousness present with respect to all things. In the external sense, there is a recognition of what are called atoms, and this is, apparently, the composition of physical substance. There is consciousness at the level of the atom. One might say here is a basic consciousness. The atom is presumed to be composed of positive and negative elements. There is something about the positive element that makes possible the existence of the atom and maintains the positioning and the nature of the negative element. Whatever it is that accomplishes this feat, shining out from the nucleus to and through the electrons, is the mind of the atom. It establishes the basis for atomic consciousness. There is consciousness in the atom, and it includes what we would describe as memory; in other words, there is the hereditary or historical record in this aura, this mental state of the atom. It is spoken of in Biblical terms as a “book of life.” All that has been experienced by the atom in the various forms here on earth is present in the record in the hereditary pattern of the atom; so here is a basic ground of consciousness.

Do you like having your mind blown? I do. And to me, these comments from Martin are mind-blowing.
The version of reality generally known and accepted in this post-modern world is so inadequate, so unsatisfying.
From my perspective and experience, I gave up on the conventional worldview a long time ago. I gave up on the glorification of money, fame, and power. But then, almost all the remedies for that conventional view aren’t much better.
While there is something intriguing about religion, it is, so often, ultimately unsatisfying. Spirituality, as it is generally available, can be wonderful. But usually, it does not fully address what it means to live a human life.
The study of psychology as it exists in the world today brings some interesting insights, along with some whopping fibs about how we are made and what drives us as human beings. And it doesn’t get me where I want to go.
What I have found is that there is so little knowledge of reality in the world that is personally liberating. Jesus promised that we would know the truth of what is real, and that truth would set us free. My experience is that a knowledge of reality does set me free.
What’s that have to do with the consciousness of atoms? The paragraph above is not the whole truth of reality. But it is enough to shatter a conventional view of how the world is made. That shattering is an invitation to explore, to go beyond the intellectual and psychic structures of our post-modern world so that we embrace the gift bestowed upon us by life itself to know reality as it is.
Leaving behind the manmade version of the world, we enter a realm of infinite wonder, a world that is truly conscious and alive.

Yes, MIND-BLOWING is right. Great to know that consciousness lives at the micro, not just the macro – and based upon what Martin says, could it be said that consciousness is the basic and fluid building block of the universe rather than our mechanical vision of molecules and photons, etc. ? totally with you in saluting Martin, consciousness, and our vertical expression of ATTUNEMENT. go David!
