This Week’s Quotation:
If you have a pure heart, then you are a clear glass to that extent insofar as others are concerned.
~ Martin Cecil
A Clear Glass
The phrase “pure heart” might evoke a picture of Victorian sanctimoniousness. But what might be the deeper meaning of the phrase, and why would it be necessary for an Attunement practitioner? Or to anyone, really?
Martin speaks of being a clear glass. The virtue of a pane of glass is that you can see through it. And what can be seen when the outer visage of a person is like a pane of glass? The sovereign soul of that person. You can see them for who they are.
Now think about it from the standpoint of the one behind the glass—from the perspective of the sovereign soul you are. Don’t you have the desire for others to know who you truly are? To see the kind of love that lives within you? To know your goodwill and your creative flame? To witness the real you?
It seems to me that revealing who you are to others is a lifetime project. It seems so easy for others not to know or understand where you are coming from; so easy for them to attribute attitudes and ideas that are not true.
Now, what if there was a key to allowing yourself to be truly seen? To me, a pure heart is simply an emotional body that expresses me and nothing but me. It radiates my love. It shines with my truth. It reveals me as I truly am.
A person might be so filled with their own disturbance that they won’t be able to see you no matter what you do. But give them their best shot! Let the spirit of the thymus gland, which is the Spirit of Purification, be constantly at work in your experience, so that who you are as a sovereign soul is forever visible in your world.
What is Attunement?
Attunement is a consciousness practice and an energy medicine practice that leads to personal spiritual regeneration.
How beautiful…we show our sovereign soul – thank you David
I really love this piece! It places the responsibility on the individual/me to reveal the qualities of the sovereign soul to the world. Many times the approach is taken that the outer circumstance is the reason that one cannot express oneself. Yes, the world is full of people and possibilities which can come along to seemingly block our path to the expression of our true self, yet I have found that the power of one’s spirit, ones sovereignty, is indominable, given half a chance. And from that sovereign perspective I can see what is impure in my own heart and mind, which might be blocking my clear expression into my world, and allow me the opportunity to “clean the glass” of these capacities by releasing the cloudiness from heart and mind. This internal work sets free the sovereign to bless our world full on. Thank you once again David for this invigorating consideration..
