If It’s to Be, It’s Up to Me, Benefitting the We
There is a quiet power in taking full responsibility for the tone of our own being. Not as a burden, but as an awakening. The phrase “If it’s to be, it’s up to me” can sound individualistic at first glance—but when lived deeply, it becomes a gateway into something profoundly collective: benefitting the we.
Energy and consciousness are not separate forces. They are intimately intertwined. The movement of energy follows the patterns of consciousness, and consciousness expresses itself through energy. When we begin to recognize this, something shifts. We are no longer at the mercy of circumstances, moods, or the emotional climates around us. Instead, we begin to discover our innate capacity to influence the field we are in—starting from within.
Attunement practice invites us into this mastery.
Through Attunement, we become aware of the currents of energy moving through us—our thoughts, emotions, and subtle impulses—and we begin to participate consciously in their direction. When we align with a higher, clearer state of consciousness—one rooted in authenticity, presence, and care—the energy naturally follows. It becomes coherent, life-giving, and transformative.
As we cultivate this competence, something remarkable happens. Our personal practice begins to ripple outward.
And the field around us responds.
Responsibility, then, is not isolating—it is unifying.
If it’s to be, it is up to me.
And when I take that to heart—not in isolation, but in service—what unfolds is something far greater than personal change.
It is the awakening of the we.
