In the bustling heart of Denver International Airport, where travelers whirl and the hum of departure and arrival announcements blend into an overwhelming symphony, I was given something precious. I was reminded of the sacred truth that Martin points to in his quote about the womb space we are here to provide.
As I navigated the airport with my wife, I noticed a young woman alone in a wheelchair, her face etched with distress. The chaos around her seemed to have swallowed her up; no one, not even the nearby airline employee, paid her any heed. Her tears and trembling were a silent cry amid the indifference of the busy terminal.
Moved by an unspoken call, I stepped towards her, my heart urging me to bring a touch of compassion into the sterile, impersonal space. With a few comforting words and a makeshift attunement, I aimed to craft a bubble of love and protection around her. In a matter of minutes, the whole situation changed and the people around sprung into action to support this young lady who had recently undergone cancer treatment and was severely nauseous and dehydrated.
In a world often indifferent and chaotic, I realized the essence of creating a sacred atmosphere where the Divine can touch lives. This young woman’s distress became a canvas for the presence of something pure and healing. Even amidst an airport’s vast, impersonal expanse, love and compassion can forge a sanctuary where something truly precious and profound can emerge.
We are here to be a womb space for what is Divine. This is what it means to be an Attunement Server.

Thank you, Sece. That’s a great story. I recognize the TRUTH of it since a Holy place inside us can move mountains. HEre is a similar story that truly happened in Philadelphia. Four decades ago, I was waiting for a subway underground and there very few people on the platform quite late at night. I was all but alone on my side of the platform when a young hooded man approached me quickly with what seemed like a gun pointed toward me inside his stomach pouch. He said emphatically “Your money or your life.” Fortunately, I had just attended an extended “servers gathering” in NY where a very positive ATTUNEMENT atmosphere was created. I was carrying this sanctuary space with me of deep innocence. So I said lovingly “Yes, here is my wallet. Is there anything else that you need?” He was so surprised, he turned away in shock saying “I’m sorry man. I didn’t know who you were.”
What did he mean? I told some friends and they thought he felt I was a priest so he didn’t want to rob me? Possibly? Possibly the attunement current hit him so hard, he simply had a momentary flash of awakening. Whatever the case, we know the power of love. Mine to you! Aloha, Tom C.
