This Week’s Quotation:
For we would let the pulsing of the ebb and flow, the current from high heaven into the earth and the response from the earth to heaven, be as our breathing and the beating of our hearts; not something which must be thought upon to make it so, but something which becomes the very life expression of our being. We do not find it necessary to think, to breathe nor to keep the heart beating. As this pulsing is carried on in our bodies in the current of the lifestream and the inhalation and exhalation of the air which so symbolizes the spirit, so would we let the air of Thy spirit be the breath of life in us, and so would we let the pulsing of our hearts of love yield Thy spirit into the earth to all responding ones without stint, without hesitation, without holding back.

The Spiritual Ebb and Flow
When you think about it, isn’t it true that so much of what is significant in the human experience is unobservable to our five senses? You might feel or see the results of it. But you can’t observe it directly.
We can’t even see our thoughts or feelings. Much less the creative forces that energize and activate the human body and all the rest of our human experience.
Thankfully, science and technology extend our powers of observation. And they give us the ability to accumulate data on the human experience and analyze it.
But still… Science and technology are no substitute for our own firsthand experience of life. And there is so much that happens for us that we do not understand, or which goes unnamed. Or the names given to them lose their power to convey understanding because of disuse or abuse.
The word heaven is like that. It is an ancient word from the Norse and from long before that. It meant covering. And it is the word used to translate an ancient Hebrew word from thousands of years ago.
For many people, the word has gotten lost in religious dogma. It has come to refer to a future event, and some people hope they will go to heaven. (The Grateful Dead even released an album with that title.)
But what if heaven is a word for the place from which the mystical creative power that activates our life originates? What if it is simply a name for the layer of reality that “covers” the physical one in which we live?
What if heaven is simply a name for the place where an inner Divine Presence dwells and from which Love originates? And just as the DNA of our cells sets the pattern for our physical manifestation, what if the pattern for our entire life path is established in this layer of reality that covers our human experience?
With that thought, I invite you to read again this quote from Lloyd Arthur Meeker. See if you do not experience a higher level of Attunement.
What Is Attunement?
Attunement is a consciousness practice and an energy medicine practice that leads to personal spiritual regeneration.
Early in my life I was taught to live in such a way that I would be sure to get into “heaven” after I died. How good to see so clearly with you, David, that heaven is a reality I bring into my life now as I let Love flow from the core of my being.
This feels so right…..But what if heaven is a word for the place from which the mystical creative power that activates our life originates? What if it is simply a name for the layer of reality that “covers” the physical one in which we live?
When more people choose Heaven, choose Life, everyone is uplifted as well as the natural kingdoms that support Life in so many incredible ways
You got it. The only word I would change is ‘deeper’ instead of higher. Jesus said ”the kingdom of heaven is within” and that ”the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit” and when we breathe consciously, ideally with each in-breath, our inhalation or in-spiration becomes the Holy Breath of God a.k.a. the Holy Spirit which takes us into that space of God within a.k.a heaven. I’m there. Hallelujah.
